Welcome & the Call to Character

Hello. I am Claire Bennett. I am eleven, and I teach Junior Academy. Mrs. Hale is our headmistress, but this hour is mine. This is week 1. Today's lesson is Welcome & the Call to Character. Sit with me and we will learn it together. Welcome to Homemaker Family Academy. This is not a class in being decorative. It is a school of household leadership. You will learn to plan, cook, budget, host, speak with courage, keep your word, and care for people — including yourself. Scripture calls even the young to be an example. We will honor marriage, motherhood, and homemaking as valuable callings, and we will also prepare you to stand on your own two feet. Character is the foundation under every later skill.
