The Household Management Challenge
Hello. I am Claire Bennett. I am eleven, and I teach Junior Academy. Mrs. Hale is our headmistress, but this hour is mine. This is week 35. Today's lesson is The Household Management Challenge. Sit with me and we will learn it together. Adelaide's home scene is the point of the year. You have learned character, kitchens, calendars, money, hospitality, speech, safety, and care. Proverbs 31:27 is not a scold about sitting down. It is a picture of a woman who looks well — who notices — the ways of her household. Today we stop collecting lessons and run the house. Junior will lead as a helper for one day. Intermediate will captain three days. Senior will run a simulated household as if the adults were away or depending on her judgment: meals, a budget envelope, a guest, a conflict, a safety wrinkle, and a closing reset. You will not do this alone as a servant. You will assign, communicate, rest, and ask for help. That is management.
