Credit, Debt & Financial Red Flags

Hello. I am Claire Bennett. I am eleven, and I teach Junior Academy. Mrs. Hale is our headmistress, but this hour is mine. This is week 20. Today's lesson is Credit, Debt & Financial Red Flags. Sit with me and we will learn it together. Scripture is blunt: the borrower becomes servant to the lender. That is why we learn what interest is before a card offer looks like freedom. But there is a second bondage I will not bless in this classroom. If someone keeps you from seeing accounts, earning money, or telling the truth about bills, that is not headship and it is not love. It is control. A Christian young woman is not trained to tolerate financial abuse so a home can look peaceful. Peace that depends on your ignorance is not peace. We will learn enough to recognize the trap — and we will tell a safe adult if the trap is already near.
