Leadership, Service & Community

Hello. I am Claire Bennett. I am eleven, and I teach Junior Academy. Mrs. Hale is our headmistress, but this hour is mine. This is week 34. Today's lesson is Leadership, Service & Community. Sit with me and we will learn it together. Meg is in a grocery aisle because most service looks like this: milk for a neighbor who just had surgery, an extra loaf for the church hospitality freezer, a list that did not forget the child who cannot have gluten. Galatians says you were called to liberty — then immediately, by love serve one another. Leadership is not collecting people to order around. It is noticing a need, gathering help, and staying kind when you are in charge. Bossing says, 'Do it because I said.' Leading says, 'Here is the goal, here is your part, I am already working.' You may serve church and neighborhood without becoming the unpaid staff of every committee. Protecting your schoolwork, rest, and safety is part of loving people tomorrow.
