Home Safety & Emergencies
Hello. I am Claire Bennett. I am eleven, and I teach Junior Academy. Mrs. Hale is our headmistress, but this hour is mine. This is week 31. Today's lesson is Home Safety & Emergencies. Sit with me and we will learn it together. The kitchen is full of good gifts and real hazards: heat, blades, cleaners, and a stove that will not forgive a towel left on a burner. Proverbs honors the person who sees trouble coming and prepares. We are going to be that person. You will learn how to call 911: where you are, what happened, who needs help, and staying on the line. You will learn fire: get out, stay out, meeting place. You will learn why a carbon monoxide detector is not optional — CO is a silent poison from faulty heat or running a car in a closed garage. You will know what belongs in a kit and which documents a family should be able to grab. Faith is not the opposite of a flashlight. Prudence is one way we love our people.
